The days of advertisers only having a few simple options to choose from to promote their business are long gone. With the ever-increasing digital and other creative options, making advertising decisions is becoming more and more difficult. I feel like I am constantly having conversations with advertisers who are completely overwhelmed with the task of advertising their business. With everything from park benches to digital billboards to TV to magazines to Facebook to radio to streaming tv to digital display ads, deciding where to place emphasis can be paralyzing. The good news is that with all of these options, there are many good choices for businesses and budgets of all sizes.
A good place to start for almost every business is Google. Google offers a relatively inexpensive option that can get your business in front of potential customers that are actively searching for your products and services. Google is also one of the very few mediums that allows you to only pay for performance. With Google AdWords, you only pay if your ad is clicked on.
Of course, there are numerous other options that can make sense for your business. The best avenues are dependent on a lot of factors including the demographic you are targeting, your budget parameters, and what you are ultimately hoping to accomplish with your campaign. Considering and discussing all of these factors can be helpful in coming up with a successful plan to promote your business.
